Blue Christmas

December 9th, 2007 by James

Inevitable really. Leave me alone to sort out the Christmas decorations and everything ends up blue. But, honestly, is that so bad? Here’s the full tree story in pictures, with apologies for any unintentional innuendo:

Everything we’re going to need (this is already getting like Blue Peter)

The bottom of the £9.26 Asda Christmas tree

After opening out the bottom (ahem)

The top half … still not looking much like a decent Christmas tree

That’s better

Sorting out the lights

Oooooh … blue and shiny

Time for some decorations - silver ball things …

image1.jpg

… and tinsel

image1.jpg

The requisite star (took me most of the night to get it to stand up straight)

Weird blue baubles from Next - waste of money because you can’t really see them

image1.jpg

Silver and white baubles from Woolies (and that damn star has gone wonky again)

A bauble from Ottawa …

… and a Canadian maple leaf

Hello Mr Gingerbread Man, sir

Finished with some rather dodgy snow at the bottom

Makes you feel all Christmassy, doesn’t it?!?
